The Jewish Woman

The essence of a Jewish woman is her awareness of the power she holds to influence her surroundings and her willingness to take action, to lead change within her home and community for the better.

Being a Jewish woman is an expression of something holy and alive within us that continues through generations.

 

Every woman carries within her a connection to the Shechina, the Divine Presence that serves as a vessel for love, abundance, and life itself. According to the Zohar, the Shechina is represented by women, and it is through a woman’s actions that we reveal and uplift the Shechina in our world.

 

This course is an invitation to understand and embody that essence, to learn how about specific mitzvot, our stories, and our inner world all express Hashem’s light through a woman’s hands, words, and heart.

 

Over five weeks, we’ll explore what the Torah and Kabbalah teach about being a Jewish woman, about the Shechina, and how to embody that light. We’ll learn from the women in Torah and tap into the gifts they gave us such as strength, leadership, faith, and resilience.
